AI amplifies.
Humans decide.

I'm a Total Rewards leader who built custom AI tools for HR — without a CS degree, a dev team, or a vendor. Now I help others understand what's possible.

AI Amplifies: The Five Dimensions

A practitioner's lens for understanding how AI changes what it means to work, create, and lead. This is the Imagination Age.

I

Radical Agency

Access

AI collapsed the barrier between idea and reality. You don't need a dev team, a budget, or permission. If you can describe what you want to build, you can build it. I'm not a developer, but that hasn't stopped me from building working applications my team uses every day. The means of creation shifted from institutions to individuals. Creation without permission.

II

The Imagination Premium

Vision

It used to be about hiring the smartest person in the room. Now it's about hiring the person who asks "what if?" when everyone else is still asking "can we?" AI commoditized execution. What it can't do is want something that doesn't exist yet. The scarce resource isn't knowledge or technical skill. It's the ability to envision what hasn't been built.

III

Elevate, Don't Abdicate

Discipline

Every tool offloads thinking. GPS replaced MapQuest printouts. Calculators replaced long division. AI is no different, except the scope is broader. Offload without intention and your problem-solving atrophies. Offload strategically and your ceiling rises. The question isn't whether to use AI. It's whether you're still growing because of it or shrinking behind it.

IV

From Credentials to Discernment

Judgment

The market used to pay for what you knew. Now it pays for what you can evaluate. AI generates answers instantly. The premium is the person who knows when the answer is wrong, sees what's missing, and weighs a recommendation against context AI will never have. Knowing the regulation isn't the edge anymore. Understanding why it exists and when it doesn't apply is.

V

Daring

Courage

AI can optimize. It can rank options, model outcomes, surface patterns. What it can't do is care. It can't decide that something matters when the data says otherwise. It can't choose people over efficiency, long-term over quarterly, principle over precedent. The human role isn't to make decisions AI can't compute. It's to make decisions AI wouldn't even think to ask about.
